We had the opportunity to stay at Nature's Hideaway for the first time since the flood. The staff were friendly and helpful doing everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. They have obviously worked very hard to bring this place back from the devastating flood and although there is more work to be done to finish the rehabilitation we thoroughly enjoy our time there. So close to Calgary but seems miles away when you are there and the river is perfect for cooling off!

We have camped at Nature's hideaway before the infamous flood and this was our first time back. As sad as it was to see the damage of a few years ago, it's encouraging to see the progress made to the campground. We found the staff friendly and helpful. It is a very rocky campground but, that's to be expected knowing you're located by the highwood river. We had a great time at the "beach" (again rocky). It's nice to have a campground close to home.

Very poor experience. That is all I can say that describes the stay. Can not purchase a night pass after you purchase the day pass. We had a complaint from campers about language. But instead of the campers next to use coming to us and explaining they're frustration, they immediately went to management. We had someone come immediately and demand that we leave, not even willing to listen. After we explained our frustration about having to leave, we got threatened with the cops being called. There was no warning, no open ended questions, no care. This place is so disorganized and the staff have very poor people skills. I am embarrassed that we live in a world where we get by by complaining and demanding. Never going to this place again, the management know where they went wrong. In hind sight, this would have been better if there was more communication and less demands. not to mention the camp sights are way to close together. Had that not been the case, everything would have been fine. Management need to maximize the QUALITY instead of QUANITY. More space. Not to mention management said the reason they "had" to kick us out, was because the people who had complained had been there all summer. Yes, I understand seniority, but we live in a land of democracy where everyone is entitled to they're own option, which we were not granted. And given the time we would have turned into those people too. Honestly, I would have loved to stay and come back multiple times but I can not stand for the lack of respect this place has. Way to go. All about he money, not for the people.

Misleading and not very nice. Booked a power/ water stall. Get there to find out we're sharing the outlets with not one, but two other stalls as we're all piled on top of each other. Oh and we can't power the a/c or anything that uses too much power. And we have to run our cords through another person's site. If you have visitors to your site they pay $5 each and have to be out by 8pm. The whole place was a huge disappointment and for $42/ night a total rip-off.

Love this little place. Brings you back to the good ol days of swimming in the river/canal as a kid
